Chiropractic Treatment
often mistaken as "Cracking Bones". Chiropractic adjustments are Controlled, Specific and Fast force which we apply to areas that are restricted and have tension. Chiropractic adjustments, better known as Spinal Manipulation or just Manipulations is a highly effective way of treating joints in the body, providing a noticeable relief straight away. These are more commonly applied to the spine including the neck, mid back and low back. However, adjustments can be applied to other parts of the body including; Shoulders, Wrists, Knees and ankles, these are called extremities. However, adjustments are just one of many techniques we use at B-One Chiropractic. Combined with rehab programme and proper education, we want to provide the best quality of care, to not only keep you pain free but to prevent further injuries.

Treatment
Spinal manipulation involves using our hands to apply a quick, controlled movement to your spine, removing restrictions in the joints and improving your range of motion. You may feel or hear some popping or clicking as this happens, which is completely normal.
While some chiropractors rely on manipulation alone, we take a broader approach. Because our sessions run longer than average, 60 minutes for your first visit and 30 minutes for follow-ups, we're able to combine several techniques within a single appointment rather than rushing through one.
Alongside adjustments, we regularly use deep tissue massage and dry needling (also known as electroacupuncture), among other soft tissue and rehabilitative techniques, depending on what you need.
You'll usually receive a combination of these, in whatever proportion gets you the best results. Hands-on treatment works best alongside the right exercises, so we'll always make sure you know what to do between sessions to support your own recovery. Every treatment plan is discussed and agreed with you before we begin, and as we go, we'll adjust our approach based on how you're responding.
Once you're happy to proceed, we'll ask for your written consent before starting treatment, which can happen in the same visit. Your first appointment, covering a full history, assessment and your first treatment, takes around 60 minutes, with follow-up sessions at 30 minutes each.
How many sessions you'll need depends on the problem itself, how long you've had it, and how much change you're looking for. Some people feel a big difference after just one or two visits, though this can be more of a short-term fix. For straightforward issues, three or four sessions often gets you a more lasting result, while a more stubborn problem might benefit from a longer course of care.
How many you have is always entirely up to you, we'll never ask you to commit to a set number, and you're free to stop whenever you choose.
If we're ever not the right fit to help you, we'll be upfront about that and point you towards your GP or another specialist. This is uncommon, but we stay alert to anything that falls outside what we can safely treat.
Everything discussed and recorded during your visits is kept as confidential clinical notes, and you're always entitled to a copy if you'd like one.
