Sciatica
sharp, shooting pain travel from your lower back down into your FOOT, you've likely experienced sciatica. It's one of the more distinctive conditions we treat, and it can range from a mild ache to genuinely debilitating pain that affects sitting, walking and sleeping.

Treatment for Sciatica
Sciatica happens when the sciatic nerve becomes irritated or compressed, often due to a disc issue, muscle tension, heavy lifting or even prolonged sitting. It's frequently linked to how you move and sit throughout the day.
We focus on relieving pressure on the nerve through flexion distraction and massage, paired with specific stretches and exercises to address the underlying cause rather than just the symptom.
Given that treatment is passive, we need to keep on top of sciatica with the correct exercises and rehab programme so that we don't make it worse and typically combining these two methods give better results.
Most people notice the leg pain ease first, followed by steady improvement in mobility. We'll also flag anything that needs urgent medical attention, such as loss of bladder or bowel control, which is rare but important to know.
